A seemingly half-fit MS Dhoni seems to have regained his full fitness, considering the legendary cricketer was recently spotted playing a game of tennis at a courtyard.

A few days ago, Dhoni was retained by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise, thus re-affirming his stance for next year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season as a player. In a bid to prepare for the T20 extravaganza, the former Indian captain has been engaging himself in physical activities off late.

On November 28, i.e., mere days after getting retained by the CSK franchise, team leader MS Dhoni was spotted playing a game of tennis at a courtyard. Much to the delight of his fans and followers, the former Indian captain looked in peak physical touch during his recent sporting activity.

Earlier this year, during the 2023 edition of the IPL, MS Dhoni struggled to keep his fitness in order as he sustained a back sprain as well as a knee injury at a crucial stage of the tournament. Despite battling injuries, the cricketer led his side to yet another title glory by pipping out defending champions Gujarat Titans in the final.

While several cricket experts speculated his title-clash outing to be his final appearance in competitive cricket, the 42-year-old himself hinted out a possibility of playing one more IPL season for the sake of his fans.

As it turns out, the cricketer will indeed be donning CSK’s iconic yellow jersey once again next year considering he recently became one of the 19 players to be retained by the franchise.

After announcing their releases and retentions, the CSK franchise is now left with a purse of Rs.32.1 crore for the upcoming IPL 2024 auctions. The bidding event itself is slated to take place on December 19 in Dubai.
