Mohammad Yousuf set to be appointed as PCB's permanent batting coach: Sources

Former Pakistan cricketer and captain Mohammad Yousuf is set to be appointed as the permanent batting coach by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

According to an exclusive from News Pakistan, sources from the PCB have confirmed the development.

Yousuf was recently released from his position as the batting coach at Lahore’s National High-Performance Centre. The PCB has not yet announced his replacement but it will be revealed in the due course of time.

The former Pakistan batter is currently touring with the team to Sri Lanka.

The local cricket governing body has also called upon former Australian batter Matthew Hayden to take up the duty of batting consultant for the upcoming T20 World Cup series scheduled to take place in Australia.

Sources claim that Hayden was named as the temporary batting coach at the request of head coach Saqlain Mushtaq in the home series against Australia.
