In a remarkable turn of events, BCCI formally appointed former India cricketer Roger Binny as its president on Tuesday. Binny, who has represented India in 99 international matches, succeeded the former president Sourav Ganguly in this process.

Reacting to Binny's appointment as the BCCI president, former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin expressed his happiness. Addressing Binny as a 'nice man', Azharuddin recalled his fond memories with the Karnataka seamer in the Indian dressing room. He also informed that no discussion regarding the ICC chairman post occurred in the BCCI AGM.

Here's what Azharuddin stated

"He (Roger Binny) is a nice man. I have played a lot of cricket with him and we have fond memories. No discussions took place on the ICC chairman post today, the board will decide later."

As per reports doing the rounds earlier, Binny officially took over the reins as the BCCI president on Tuesday afternoon. He has immediately shared the goals he wants to achieve during his tenure. Considering his personality and record as an administrator, we expect the ex-pacer to take Indian cricket to new heights.
