England cricket team walked into the fourth T20 International with momentum on their side. They were leading by 2-1 after winning the last match by 63 runs. However, the team failed to continue the winning streak and ended up losing the high-profile match by three runs.
Playing at the National Stadium in Karachi, the batters let the visitors down as they failed to chase an achievable score of 167 runs in their allotted 20 overs. The entire top-order collapsed as Phil Salt, Alex Hales and Will Jacks registered scores of eight, five, and zero runs respectively.
The middle-order batters tried to do some damage control with Ben Duckett and Harry Brook scoring 33 and 34 runs, respectively. However, they failed to prolong their innings in the middle. Meanwhile, the spin all-rounder Liam Dawson was the biggest positive for England in an otherwise poor batting performance.
The 32-year-old made a mockery of Mohammad Hasnain in the 18th over as he collected a total of 24 runs. Dawson was all set to take his team home, but he suffered an unfortunate dismissal at the hands of Haris Rauf while playing at 34 runs off just 17 balls.
