Pakistan cricket team managed to settle scores with England as they won the fourth T20 International of the seven-match series by three runs. It was an all-round performance by the host as they levelled the series by 2-2. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam seemed extremely proud of his team as he reflected on what resulted in the victory on Sunday.

Put to bat first, Pakistan had one of the best moments as Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam stitched a partnership of 97 runs for the first wicket. However, the dismissal of Babar in the 11.5 over caused a collapse of the team. Rizwan had to walk back after a gritty knock of 88.

While the middle order comprising Shan Masood and Khushdil Shah failed to make any contribution, their contemporary Asif Ali made heads turn. The 30-year-old played a much-needed cameo for Green Army. His quick-fire knock of three-ball 13 steered the host to 166 runs in 20 overs.

Babar lauds the exceptional performance from his team

Chasing 167 should have been an easy task for England, considering the easy batting conditions at the National Stadium in Karachi. However, the Pakistan bowlers made the visitors speechless with their exceptional bowling. The 28-year-old Haris Rauf led the attack with three wickets while Mohammad Nawaz was the second bowler to take a three-wicket haul.

Babar called out the roller-coaster game of cricket while lauding Asif and Haris for their sensational performance. Meanwhile, the home captain is now hoping for improved performance in the remainder of the three T20 Internationals at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

"I think it was a heart attack for us. With the batting, we were 10 runs short, but Asif Ali with 2 sixes at the end gave us the momentum, and then we were terrific with the ball and in the field."

"We have a flexible middle order and we use players according to the situation. I think the way Haris Rauf bowled under pressure was amazing, to say the least. Yes, great series and a great night here. Karachi was good and now we look forward to Lahore with the series' nice setup."
