In a recent development, Melbourne Stars have added young guns Olivia Henry and Hasrat Gill into their squad for the upcoming season of the Women's Big Bash League.
Notably, Henry is a top-order batter who can also roll her arms for gentle off-breaks. She grabbed the attention of the Stars' scouting team following her incredible performance in Victorian Premier Cricket 2021-22, where she amassed 324 runs for Ringwood.
On the other hand, Gill, one of the brightest Victorian talents, topped the bowlers chart in the Victorian Premier Cricket, scalping 26 wickets. She also registered a spectacular hattrick in the tournament, grabbing the eyeballs of the WBBL franchise.
Here's how Stars General Manager Blair Crouch reacted to these new signings
"I'm really looking forward to watching the development of both Olivia and Hasrat throughout WBBL|08. It will be great for our fans to witness some of Victorian's best young talent on show."
