On Wednesday, April 23, Zimbabwe scripted one of the most heroic wins of their Test history as they handed Bangladesh a three-wicket defeat to lead the two-match Test series 1-0. Notably, Zimbabwe were asked to chase down 174 runs and did it with three wickets in hand.

Despite the wicket, Mehidy Masan Miraz had a game to remember as the Bangladesh all-rounder entered an elite club as he completed 200 Test wickets. Notably, Mehidy took a five-wicket haul in both innings and reached the 200 Test wicket club in his 52nd Test match. 

Mehidy Hasan Miraj Goes Past Shakib Al Hasan

Notably, Mehidy is the third Bangladeshi player after Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam to have 200 Test wickets for The Tigers. Further, Mehidy is also the 2nd fastest bowler to 200 Test wickets only behind Taijul. Here is the complete list.

Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh Match Summary

Talking about the recently concluded match, Bangladesh, batting first, tumbled for just 191 runs. In reply, Zimbabwe rode on Sean Williams and Brian Bennett's half-centuries that helped Zimbabwe put 273 runs on the board.

In the 2nd innings, Bangladesh tumbled for 255 runs, posing a target of 174 runs for the visitors. In reply, Zimbabwe chased the target in 50.1 overs and registered a three-wicket win.
