One of the most successful captains in Women's cricket, Meg Lanning will be back in action for Australia Women, returning from an indefinite break she took in August.

Cricket Australia (CA) has announced a strong 13-member women's squad for the upcoming One-Day International series against Pakistan next month, which sees the return of Lanning, who missed the India tour.

Alyssa Healy, who captained Australia in absence of Lanning in India, will miss the Pakistan series due to a calf injury.

Healy injured herself in the fourth T20I in Brabourne, where her side claimed the five-match series. Meanwhile, former Ireland player Kim Garth continues to keep her place in the squad.

Pakistan Women will tour Australia between January 16 and 29 to take part in three ODIs and as many T20Is.

The first two ODIs will be placed at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, while the third match will be held at the North Sydney Oval.

All three T20Is will be played across different cities — Sydney, Hobart, and Canberra.
