On the first day of the second Test between India and Bangladesh, the visitors were on fire with the ball as they folded the Tigers for 227 with Umesh Yadav being the protagonist with the ball, grabbing figures of 4/25.
Umesh, who has been one of India's most trusted bowler made full use of the opportunity to bowl a beautiful spell. After the match, he was asked about his plans to which he said that there was assistance on offer for the seamers.
Further, he said that the lack of support in the second half led to him try and bowl reverse swing during the later part of the match.
"In the beginning, there was something for the fast bowlers because one of the odd balls is taking off and some other ball is seaming. There is something for the fast bowlers and it is important to keep bowling in the right area so I'm just trying and bowling in the areas.
"We were looking for something because already the ball was 2 sessions old and there wasn't much assistance so we tried to reverse the ball and did better. Because of that, we got some wickets."
The day ended with India on 19/0 after rolling out their rivals for 227, trailing by 208 runs.
