MCA To Send 'Emerging Team' Including Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Musheer Khan For UK

Talented youngsters Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Suryansh Shedge, and Musheer Khan headline Mumbai's 18-member Emerging (Under-23) squad touring England later this month. Departing on June 28, this initiative by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) provides valuable experience to promising players following its February announcement. 

Coaching Staff To Accompany In UK Tour

As per a report from TOI, the 'Emerging Team' will play ten matches during their UK tour which will feature five two-day fixtures and five one-day games against local opposition. The squad captain will be named on June 14. Kiran Powar, the current Mumbai senior selector, will serve as head coach.

MCA joint secretary Deepak Patil and treasurer Arman Malik are the team coordinators. Khodadad Yazdegardi, Vice President and Cricket Secretary of the Parsee Gymkhana, is the facilitator.

Promising Talents Headlines UK Tour Squad

Notably, Angkrish Raghuvanshi impressed for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025, while Shedge and Musheer represented Punjab Kings. Raghuvanshi had a marvellous IPL stint this year with a 33.33 average from his 11 matches at a strike rate of 139.53 for KKR. He recently played in the T20 Mumbai League too however, had a modest outing there with an average of 18.57 from his 7 innings.

Suryansh Shedge, who had the highest strike rate in SMAT 2024 with 251.92 on the board, is also an emerging talent. Though his IPL numbers aren't impressive this year, the young talent has an average of 37.80 in T20 games.

Meanwhile, Musheer Khan also had a poor outing in the T20 Mumbai League 2025. The domestic prodigy failed to prosper in T20 Mumbai League and in IPL 2025 too where he had a single outing and was gone for a duck. The youngster who grabbed headlines because of his Under-19 World Cup 2024 heroics boasts 716 First-Class runs at an average of 51.14 from only 9 matches.
