On Thursday, June 27, the BCCI rewarded LSG's Mayank Yadav, CSK's Tushar Deshpande and five other IPL heroes with a fast bowling contract. 

Leading news portal, TOI, reported that news and stated that the apex board was impressed by these pacers' performance in the cash-studded league and decided to offer them this contract. It is worth noting that a fast bowlers' contract is not as same as the central contract.

With this contract, these bowlers will be taken care of by BCCI, which means that their training and injury issues will be taken care of by the NCA.

Other than Mayank Yadav and Tushar Deshpande, Akash Deep (RCB), Vijaykumar Vyshak (RCB), Vidwath Kaverappa (PBKS), Umran Malik (SRH), and Yash Dayal (RCB) have been handed the contract. 

The contract is a good sign for these bowlers as it somewhat signifies that the Roger Binny-led board is looking to keep these seamers in the scheme of things. 

"Yes, Tushar and Mayank Yadav were given their fast bowling contracts just after an impressive show in IPL 2024,'' reported TOI. 

Mayank broke to the scene after he troubled Punjab Kings' batters with his scintillating pace in IPL 2024. Eventually, the right-arm seamer got ruled out of the IPL, but he left a mark with his disciplined bowling. 

Tushar also had a great season with CSK. Further, Yash Dayal emerged as the best bowler for RCB in the recently concluded season. However, Umran Malik played just one game in IPL 2024.
