Mayank Yadav, the promising fast bowler for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has been given the green light ahead of the crucial encounter against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

LSG's bowling coach, Morne Morkel, affirmed Mayank Yadav's fitness status, ensuring his availability for the upcoming match at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on April 30, where they face off against MI.

This could also be a good news for selectors ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 as he has impressed with his raw pace and his wicket-taking abilities. His IPL journey began on a high note, clinching consecutive Player of the Match accolades in matches against PBKS and RCB. His impressive performance against RCB included bowling the fastest delivery of the season, clocking at a remarkable 156.7 km/h.

However, concerns arose when he departed the field after just one over against GT due to abdominal discomfort, sidelining him from subsequent matches.

Addressing these concerns, Morkel disclosed that Mayank has successfully cleared all fitness assessments, marking his return to the squad for the crucial fixture against MI.

This development serves as a significant boost for LSG, enhancing their bowling arsenal as they prepare to take on the formidable MI lineup led by Hardik Pandya.

With Mayank Yadav's return, LSG aims to maintain their momentum and secure vital points in their quest for IPL glory. His presence adds depth and potency to the team's bowling attack, instilling confidence among players and fans alike as they gear up for an exciting clash against MI.
