Varun Chakravarthy has been a consistent performer for KKR over the years, and in IPL 2024 too he is showing his might with some quality spells. In the 47th match of IPL 2024 between KKR and DC, he bowled beautifully and picked three wickets and delivered killer blows to restrict DC's charge.

One of the important wickets he got was of Tristan Stubbs when Chakravarthy bowled a leg-spinner outside off. It turned away and Stubbs tried to cut it. The ball though caught the outside edge of his blade and Phil Salt behind the stumps took a sharp catch.

Varun gave away just 16 runs in his four overs and his three wickets were instrumental in  triggering Delhi Capitals' collapse. Earlier, Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bat first but things did not go DC's way and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Vaibhav Arora and Mitchell Starc took wickets in the Powerplay and then Harshit Rana, Narine and Chakaravarthy joined the action to put visitors in a deep hole. KKR were shocked by a record run-chase from Punjab Kings in their last game at Eden Gardens, and they seem to have done their homework properly this time around.
