In a significant development ahead of IPL 2026, the Lucknow Super Giants have added another player to their squad for the upcoming season, roping in Carl Crowe as their next spin coach. The Rishabh Pant-led side took to social media platforms to announce the arrival of England-born Carl Crowe for the upcoming season.
Who is Carl Crowe, LSG's new spin coach?
Notably, the 49-year-old, who hails from Leicester City in England, played first-class cricket for Leicestershire. The former spinner featured in 49 first-class games and has 60 wickets to his name.
Despite an average first-class career, Crowe failed to garner any interest from the England national team and couldn't make it to the top level. Soon, Crowe quit his playing career and shifted to coaching.
Before Lucknow Super Giants, Crowe worked with the Kolkata Knight Riders as their spin consultant and also with the Knight Riders' sister franchise, Trinbago Knight Riders, in the CPL.
Notably, Crowe has worked with several budding cricketers in the IPL, but his most noticeable work is with Varun Chakaravarthy. Varun worked with Crowe during his time with KKR and helped him reach the highest level.
