Three losses stand on either side of Mumbai Indians’ solitary victory against Lucknow Super Giants. If that pattern is to be followed, the five-time champion side is likely to register its fifth successive Indian Premier League 2025 win on Sunday evening.

Proving their knack of peaking during the business end of IPL league stages, MI would be eyeing a third consecutive victory at the Wankhede Stadium – a stadium where they’ve lost to LSG twice in the past.

Besides whether the home team is able to better its dismal record against this opposition or not, IPL 2025 Match 45 will also be followed for the possibility of players achieving the following milestones:

4,000 Runs In The IPL

Mumbai vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav requires just 33 more runs to reach 4,000 runs in the competition. As of now, his 3,967 runs have come at an average and strike rate of 33.61 and 147.08 respectively with the help of two centuries and 26 half-centuries.

Yadav, who will become the 17th player to achieve this feat, will be the 13th among Indians.

300 Sixes In The IPL

Former Indians captain Rohit Sharma needs five maximums to complete 300 sixes in the tournament. Having regained form in the last two matches, the right-handed batter could well become only the second batter to achieve this feat in the imminent match itself. It is worth a mention that only Universe Boss Chris Gayle (357) has hit more sixes than Sharma in the IPL.

150 Sixes In The IPL

Yadav, 34, has another impending record from an individual perspective. If he scores one more six, he will complete 150 sixes in his 145th IPL innings.

200 Fours In The IPL

MI captain Hardik Pandya needs two fours to reach 200 fours in the biggest T20 league across the globe. Going forward, the 31-year-old player could also complete 150 sixes in the competition this season itself.

150 Fours In The IPL

Super Giants batter Nicholas Pooran is short of six fours to reach 150 such shots in IPL history. Considering the kind of form he has been in this format in the last two years or so, six fours in one innings is pretty much possible. Notably, the left-handed batter completed 150 IPL sixes earlier this season.
