Lokesh Rahul, leading the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), and Ruturaj Gaikwad, skipper of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), have found themselves in hot water. Both captains have been slapped with a fine of 12 lacs by the IPL committee for breaching the IPL code of conduct.

The incident happened during the Ekana clash last night, where both teams failed to maintain the  over rate.

Both the Lucknow Super Giants and the Chennai Super Kings have been penalized for the first time this season for failing to meet the IPL's minimum over-rate requirements.

LSG back in winning ways

In a decisive victory, the Lucknow Super Giants secured an impressive 8-wicket win over the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), putting an end to their consecutive losses.

The match turned one-sided as soon as the second innings commenced, with LSG dominating on the shoulders of skipper Lokesh Rahul and Quinton De Kock.

Chennai went up to bat first and scored 177 runs, led by MS Dhoni's powerful finish. LSG  began their chase well, especially with their openers playing strong innings. KL Rahul scored a majestic 82, and De Kock managed 54 runs in 43 balls.

With their excellent performance, LSG won the match by eight wickets with six balls left to spare.

Chepauk game awaiting

It's worth mentioning that CSK will square off against LSG once more in their upcoming match at Chepauk, which has been a fortress for Chennai this season, remaining undefeated so far.

This next clash presents a chance for CSK to seek revenge for their previous loss, while LSG has the opportunity to maintain their winning momentum.
