The 34th match of IPL 2024 between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings have started in a worst possible way for Yellove Army. They lost Rachin Ravindra in the second over, and then Yash Thakur got the better of CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad with a beauty of a delivery.

It was a fullish delivery, outside off from Yash Thakur who has been quite impressive in this season for LSG. The ball nipped away off the deck and Ruturaj Gaikwad who was trying to drive it, ended up getting an outside edge which was caught quite well by KL Rahul diving to his right.

The wicket was a big blow to CSK as Gaikwad has shown good form in the last few games, and CSK would have hoped for another big score from their skipper. There is lot of batting to follow though for CSK, and after the loss of two early wickets, they promoted Ravindra Jadeja at number 4, who has all the experience to soak the pressure and use the long handle if needed.

Earlier, LSG won the toss and decided to bowl first after winning the toss, and so far, they would be pretty happy with how their bowlers have gone about their business.
