In a significant development, there has been a rift between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Hyderabad Cricket Association as the 2016 winners have accused the HCA of blackmailing them over complimentary passes for IPL games. Notably, there were reports from Cricbuzz that HCA president, Mr. Jagan Mohan Rao has demanded 10 percent of tickets of all the matches, 3900 tickets before the start of IPL over and above the 10 percent tickets that is given complimentary to HCA.
In the latest events, SRH are not happy with the blackmailing and as per reports from Vipul Kashyap, they have sent a complaint to Telangana CM and also threatened to move their remainder of IPL 2025 matches out of Hyderabad.
"SRH sent an official complaint to CMO of telangana and BCCI regarding Blackmailing of HCA for free passes, SRH wants to shift their all matches from Hyderabad," read Vipul Kashyap's Tweet.
Telangana CM Orders Probe
It is worth noting that the Telangana government has acted swiftly on the matter and have also ordered a probe into the matter. Notably, the government have appointed officials, who make sure that the HCA do not further harass the SRH management for complimentary tickets.
The appointed officer will also look into the matter and provide a report to the government regarding the same. Thus, it is to be seen what action will be taken next as SRH will next play at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium on Sunday, April 6 against Gujarat Titans.
