While New Zealand missed out on the current WTC final, Kane Williamson carries a fond memory of the tournament. In the first edition of the World Test Championship final in 2021, India and New Zealand locked horns at Southampton. With an exceptional all-round performance in the clash, Kane Williamson-led New Zealand beat India by 8 wickets and won the title.
