While New Zealand missed out on the current WTC final, Kane Williamson carries a fond memory of the tournament. In the first edition of the World Test Championship final in 2021, India and New Zealand locked horns at Southampton. With an exceptional all-round performance in the clash, Kane Williamson-led New Zealand beat India by 8 wickets and won the title.

After an outstanding performance in the longest format, South Africa made their maiden entry on the big stage, and the beginning couldn’t be better than this. While bowling first, the Proteas gave a dominating start as the Aussie batters looked shaky.
