Kagiso Rabada Shatters IPL Record; Becomes the Fastest Player to take 100 Wickets

Kagiso Rabada, the Punjab Kings pacer has created history by becoming the fastest player in the IPL to take 100 wickets. He achieved this milestone in just 64 games when he got rid of Wriddhiman Saha in the 18th game of IPL 2023 between PBKS and GT.
Rabada broke the long-standing record of Lasith Malinga who took 100 wickets in 70 matches and is known as one of the best pacers in IPL. Rabada now has beaten his record which speaks a lot about the talent of the tall South African pacer.
Kagiso Rabada made his IPL debut in the 2017 season for Delhi and became one of the mainstays of the franchise in the following years. He was the leading wicket-taker in the 2020 season with 30 wickets in 17 matches and migrated to Punjab Kings in the 2022 season. He made an immediate impact for Punjab too and took 23 wickets in 13 matches to become a shining light for his team in that season.
It is Kagiso Rabada's ability to deliver both in the Powerplay and at the death that makes him a critical asset for any team he plays for. Also, he is just a young cricketer still and we can expect him to go from strength to strength in future.
