Losing the wicket of Prabhsimran Singh in the very first over, Punjab Kings were in some trouble when they were asked to bat on a tough Mohali wicket. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan too didn't fared well as the runs were hard to come by in the early overs.

Australian recruit Matthew Short played a fine hand with 36 runs from 24 balls but was cleaned up by Rashid Khan in the seventh over with Punjab being 55 for 3 at that stage.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa had a tough time out in the middle facing 26 deliveries and managing only 20.

Later, comeback man Mohit Sharma made a remarkable impact with figures of 2/18 where he dismissed Jitesh Sharma and Sam Curran. The English superstar, meanwhile, scored 22 from 22 and which reflected Punjab's struggle to increase the run rate.

Jitesh played some decent shots hitting five fours during his 25-run knock. However, the sudden change came when Shahrukh Khan arrived and struck two heavy blows in the end.

Khan was on strike rate for 9 balls where he banged 22 to take the score past 150. Harpreet Brar also chipped in with maximum as Punjab finished on 153 for 8 after the end of their 20 overs.
