PBKS VS GT: Rahul Chahar Replaces Bhanuka Rajapaksa

In the game number 18 of the IPL 2023, Punjab Kings are going up against Gujarat Titans in Mohali. However, the home team, PBKS have failed to get a big score on the board with the bat and have only managed to score 153 in their allotted 20 overs. They have now decided to bring in a specialist spinner and quality spinner, Rahul Chahar as an Impact Player for Bhanuka Rajapaksa in a bid to strengthen their bowling attack to defend a below-par total on the board.
GT though have started their chase with a bang and at the time of writing, GT are 36-0 in three overs with both Saha and Gill batting positively.
Earlier in the first half of the game, Punjab batters failed to get going and it was Matthew Short who topped for the Punjab unit. Rajapaksa though struggled in the middle and batted with a strike rate of only 76 while Sam Curran could also score run-a-ball 22.
It was only because of the efforts of Shahrukh Khan who smashed 22 off 9 balls that Punjab managed to cross 150 but it still looks an uphill task to defend the total against the might of GT batters. Let’s see how things unfold…
