Things have started to come good for Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant, who is recovering more quickly than expected from his injuries after the heart-wrenching car accident he faced in December last year. Reportedly, Pant does not need to undergo any more surgeries and may start training soon.

Pant, who had two surgeries - a medial collateral ligament (MCL) and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) - was advised to have another knee surgery for his Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PC). But, fortunately, the doctors have said that the third surgery won't be needed anymore as the stumper is healing naturally.

As reported by the Times of India, the doctors had kept the 25-year-old under watch and told him there could be one more surgery. That was ruled out last week.

"Let's make it clear that Pant never had multiple surgeries as was speculated. There was much anxiety over another surgery. He was monitored every fortnight," stated the report.

The Delhi-based cricketer has recently started his rehabilitation in the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru - where he's recovering tremendously. The left-handed cricketer is putting in hard yards to get himself fit for the ICC World Cup 2023, scheduled for October-November to be played in India.

It is also understood that Pant will initially make a comeback as just a batter, but not as a keeper-batter.
