Fortunately for Chennai, MS Dhoni is fit enough for the IPL 2023 clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, after Deepak Chahar, another Super Kings pacer has gotten injured, which puts the four-time champions in a spot of trouble. CSK's South African recruit, Sisanda Magala, has been injured and replaced by Sri Lanka's Matheesha Pathirana.

Pathirana, 20, made his IPL debut in IPL 2022, playing two matches for CSK. Although after joining the squad late due to national duties, the slingy bowler will make his first IPL fixture on Monday.

Meanwhile, Chennai have made just that change to their starting XI, with Akash Singh, Dwaine Pretorius, Subhranshu Senapati, Shaik Rasheed and Rajvardhan Hangargekar being their Impact Player substitutes.

On the flip, RCB have gone against fielding their prime seamer Josh Hazlewood, who recently arrived in India and was available for selection. Instead, however, the home team have opted for a seam battery comprising Mohammed Siraj, Wayne Parnell, Vyshak Vijay Kumar and Harshal Patel.

Like their last encounter against Delhi, Suyash Prabhudessai, David Willey, Akash Deep, Karn Sharma and Anuj Rawat will be their Impact subs.

At Chinnaswamy, RCB have won the toss, and they will bowl first against the MS Dhoni-led Chennai.
