On Monday, the Indian Premier League 2023 will see the most-awaited clash of the season, as two of the top Indian megastars - MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli - meet in the Southern Derby between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both these maestros have been in top knick in the IPL 2023; however, there are gloomy clouds over one of them's availability for the upcoming clash.

If reports are to be believed, CSK's captain Dhoni is about to miss the megastar clash against Bangalore at Chinnaswamy.

It is understood that the 41-year-old stumper has been struggling with a knee niggle even before the start of the tournament. And after being seen limping during Wednesday's game versus Rajasthan, the team management may think of resting their biggest icon player.

However, MSD is someone who believes in playing even in agony. But if he misses out on the starting XI, then either Devon Conway or Ambati Rayudu will have to wear the gloves for Chennai.

Nevertheless, Dhoni has been in tremendous touch in the edition of the lucrative league, providing finishing touches to CSK down the order. Thus far in IPL 2023, he has played three fruitful cameos in as many outings - i.e. 32* off 17 balls, 12 off 3 and 14* off 7.

Meanwhile, the veteran keeper has had a ball against RCB, having smashed 838 runs off 31 innings at a strike rate of 140.84. Whereas, his numbers get even better in Bangalore, amassing 463 runs in 10 innings at an average of 92.60 and SR of 180.86.
