The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have added young wicketkeeper-batter Jordan Cox and bowling all-rounder Rehan Ahmed to England’s squad for the upcoming white-ball series in the West Indies. The English cricket team, currently in Pakistan for a three-match Test series, is scheduled to play three ODIs and five T20I matches against the West Indies between October 31 and November 17.
Ahmed is also a part of England’s playing XI for their series-deciding third Test against Pakistan in Rawalpindi. The 20-year-old will be expected to fly directly from Rawalpindi to the Caribbean after the completion of the match.

Both Jordan Cox and Rehan Ahmed were selected in England’s squad for the ongoing Test series in Pakistan. While Jordan did not get to play a single match in the series, Ahmed received a crack in the playing XI for the series-decider in Rawalpindi on October 24.
Regardless, the two cricketers will now be joining England’s white-ball setup in the Caribbean for the impending series against the West Indies team.
Jordan Cox, who has only played two T20Is for England so far, is also poised for a Test debut later this year in New Zealand. Regular wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith has already opted out of the series on grounds of a paternity leave, prompting head coach Brendon McCullum to appoint Jordan as the replacement stumper.
The English cricket team, under the leadership of Liam Livingstone, will play three ODI matches against West Indies in Antigua and Barbados between October 31 and November 17. The two teams will subsequently collide in a five-match T20I series in Barbados and Saint Lucia.
