The Oval Invincibles locked horns with the London Spirit in the 26th match of The Hundred 2024 at the Kennington Oval in London. The Invincibles won the toss in the match and opted to field first. 

The bowlers repaid the faith Sam Billings showed in them as they made a mess of the Spirit batting line up. Led by Sam Curran, the Oval Invincibles put in a dramatic bowling show, and bundled out Spirit for 96 runs in the 19th set.

The Spirit started their defence well as they got rid off Will Jacks pretty early in the innings. However, Jordan Cox arrived at the crease and blew away the Spirit bowlers. Cox joined hands with Dawin Malan and the duo stitched together a partnership of 85 runs. In this partnership, Cox took the initiative while, Dawid Malan played the second fiddle to him. 

Cox scored a 30 ball 61, in which he hit nine fours and two maximums. He brought up his fifty in just 26 deliveries ensuring that his team went past the line with 37 balls remaining in the game. At the opposite end, Malan maintained his composure and scored 29 off 27 providing the perfect platform for Cox to continue his assault. 

With this win the Oval Invincibles have solidified their position at the top of the points table. They have now won six of their seven matches and are gracing the top spot with 12 points.
