He faced considerable difficulties dealing with the swinging ball and managed only 10 runs from 32 balls before getting dismissed. 

His dismissal underscored the tough innings he had to endure, and the primary culprits behind this disappointing showing were Pakistan's potent trio of fast bowlers: Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah. These bowlers had the upper hand over India's top-order batsmen, and Gill was no exception. With the stage set and the relentless pressure from the bowlers, Gill found himself trapped by their skillful tactics.
