In a significant development, the IPL governing body unveiled the much-awaited roster for the upcoming auction. Out of 1166 registered players, only 333 made it to the final list and are set to go under the gavel in the event scheduled on 19th December at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. 

214 Indians and 119 overseas talents have been shortlisted for the auction. Thus, the ten IPL franchises have 333 options, but only 77 will make it into the final squad. 

So, before the show begins, here's all you need to know about the IPL 2024 auction. 


IPL Auction 2024: Registered Players' List

As mentioned above, a total of 333 players, including two from the associate nations, have been included in the IPL roster. 

23 players have set Rs 2 Crore as their base price, while 13 cricketers have chosen to maintain a base price of INR 1.5 Crore. The ten IPL franchises can cumulatively pick only 77 out of these 333 names, including a maximum of 30 overseas players.

IPL Auction 2024: Date & Live Streaming

The much-anticipated IPL 2024 auction will begin at 2.30 PM IST on December 19. It will be broadcast live on Sports18, with Jio Cinema providing its live streaming service on its app and website.
