The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a tournament that no cricketer wants to miss unless they are injured are representing their nation in international duties or are banned from featuring.

Over the years, constant concerns have been raised about cricketers getting fit in time for the cash-rich event, while missing out in international action all across the year.

Former India wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel, who is well-versed with the ins and outs of IPL, having played and worked as a scout, has in a cheeky manner taken a potshot at cricketers who will feature in the 2024 edition.

Taking to social media platform 'X', Patel stated happiness over seeing everyone 'fit and available' for the marquee T20 league in India.

The IPL attracts eyeballs and money like no other, and sees players give national duties a miss as well over the past few seasons.

Lately, much debate has been around Mumbai Indians' duo Hardik Pandya, and Ishan Kishan, who are making their return to cricket after respective layoffs. While Pandya is making a return from an ankle injury, Kishan is coming back after a short mental-health break, which witnessed the player lose his central contract as well for not playing in Ranji Trophy 2024.

Several key players like Mohammed Shami, Prasidh Krishna, and Lungi Ngidi are already ruled out of the tournament, cricketers like Suryakumar Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Devon Conway, and Matheesha Pathirana are expected to take part during the second-part of IPL 2024.
