IPL 2023 | Glenn Maxwell Smashes his way to over 1000 Runs for RCB

Glenn Maxwell is a match-winner! There shall be no second opinion on this, everyone knows that if Maxwell gets going, he would more or less blow away the opposition's bowling apart with his breathtaking strokeplay. It is not always about the amount of runs Maxi scores but it is more about the way he scores and makes that impact.

However, Maxwell has now crossed the 1000-run mark for RCB which shows how consistent he has been for RCB over the years. He started playing for RCB from the 2021 season and since then has become an integral part of the team. He scored 513 runs in the 2021 season with a strike rate of over 144 and shown his all-round abilities as well by taking crucial wickets with the ball. He has reached the 1000-run landmark in his 36th match for RCB and is looking at his belligerent best in the game against RR. In the ongoing game, at the time of writing, he is batting on 64 off 34 balls with RCB at 124-2 in the 12th over.

Glenn Maxwell has previously played for three more franchises - Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings (Formerly Kings XI Punjab) starting from the 2012 season. He was pretty successful for Punjab as well and played a big role in Punjab’s tremendous run to the final of the 2014 season.
