IPL 2022 | KKR vs DC- Fantasy Tips

KKR will be facing DC in the 19th match of Indian Premier League 2022 at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Both the teams are strong on paper, but before they face each other today, let us try and find out what could be the best combination for fantasy leagues for the upcoming game.

Untamed:

Umesh Yadav: With the new ball, Umesh Yadav is breathing fire in IPL 2022. He has bowled with pace and has rattled the top-order in every game.

IPL 2022: In IPL 2022, Umesh Yadav has picked up 9 wickets in 4 matches. He is conceding runs at an economy rate of just 5.25. In this tournament, he is taking every ten deliveries and at the cost of just nine runs. So, if Umesh bowls a four-over spell, he is picking up at least two wickets. Thus, the red-hot form makes him a must-pick for the match.

Kuldeep Yadav: Chinaman is a rare art in the cricketing world. Not often do fans see a bowler bowling left-arm wrist spin. Kuldeep is a left-arm wrist-spinner who impressed everybody with his exploits in IPL a few years back. But he has looked completely out of form in the last two seasons. At this juncture, IPL 2022 was very important for his career, and boy did he bounce back. With his variations and guts returning, Kuldeep Yadav, we know, is slowly coming back to his old self.

IPL 2022: Kuldeep Yadav has already picked up six wickets in 3 matches in IPL 2022. He is picking up a wicket every 11 deliveries giving away just 14 runs. So, from a full quota of 4 overs, Kuldeep will be giving at least two wickets, and with the pitches gradually slowing down, he could be even more effective. Hence, the left-arm wrist-spinner of Delhi is a must-pick for the match.

David Warner: David Warner scored four runs off 12 deliveries in his first appearance of IPL 2022, but his record in IPL speaks volumes of his capability.

Overall IPL:  Warner has played 151 matches and scored 5453 runs. His RPI is 36, and he bats at a strike rate of 139.64. Given that form is temporary but class is permanent, Warner is a must pick for the match.

Shilly Shally:

Andre Russell: Andre Russell hit a brilliant 70 off 31 deliveries against Punjab to win the match against Punjab. The team will be hoping for more such performances from the Caribbean all-rounder. But his inconsistency is still a matter of concern, and fantasy players looking to pick him have to be a bit more careful.

IPL 2022: In the three innings that he has batted in IPL 2022, he scored 106 runs. But 70 of these runs have come in just one knock. So if the 70 runs knock is taken out, Russell’s RPI is just 18. This speaks of his inconsistency, and thus, picking him for the match comes with a risk factor.

Rishabh Pant: The skipper of the DC team is one of those members of the team who can change the colour of a match in a matter of a few overs on his day. But he is yet to fire big in the tournament.

IPL 2022: Pant has so far scored just 83 runs with an RPI of just 27.66. His strike rate is just 123, which is way below his IPL career strike rate of 146. So, he is not in the best of touches, but not picking a match-winner like him only based on his form might be a risky path to take.

Prithvi Shaw: Prithvi Shaw looked to have constrained himself in the absence of David Warner. But with his Aussie partner joining the team, he looked like he was batting with more freedom in the last match.

IPL 2022: In his three innings in IPL 2022, Shaw has scored 109 runs at a strike rate of 167.69. His RPI in the season is 36.33. While he is scoring quickly, he is still to find consistency in the tournament. But with his last match antics of 61 off 34 deliveries, he can be a valuable pick for the game.

Anrich Nortje: In the last match against LSG, Nortje gave away 35 runs from his 2.2 overs and looked out of rhythm.

Overall IPL: Nortje has played 25 IPL matches and has picked up 34 wickets at an average of 21.59 and a strike rate of 16.53. This shows that Nortje is generally very effective with the ball in hand, but his form makes him risky for the day.

Unhailed

Venkatesh Iyer: Venkatesh Iyer was one of the reasons KKR staged a dramatic turnaround in the second league of IPL 2021. However, he did not start IPL 2022 on the right note. But he has found back his touch in the last match, where he scored 50 off 41 deliveries. When in form, Venkatesh Iyer can give good returns to the team consistently.

Lalit Yadav: In the three innings that Lalit Yadav has featured for Delhi, he scored 73 runs at a strike rate of 121.67. He is providing DC with some good finishes, so he can be a valuable addition for small league players.

Stealthy Warriors

Pat Cummins: Pat Cummins has just played in one match in IPL 2022. He was average with the ball in hand and gave away 49 runs in four overs. But he grabbed everyone’s attention with his batting in the match. Cummins played an unreal knock with the bat, scoring 56 runs off 15 deliveries. So far, he is unexplored in IPL 2022; despite his brilliant exploits in the last match, he is in the Stealthy Warriors category.

Sunil Narine: Sunil Narine has bowled with an economy of 4.75 in IPL 2022. Though he has picked up only two wickets so far, his economical bowling could give valuable points to the fantasy players.

Rasikh Salam: Rasikh Salam made his debut for KKR in the match against MI. He bowled three overs, conceding just 18 runs and looked like a compact player. His inclusion could be an x-factor for those who pick him.

Imposters

Ajinkya Rahane: In IPL 2022, Rahane has scored just 72 runs from 4 innings. He is having no impact whatever with the bat. So, picking him might result in negative points for the team.

Rovman Powell: Powell has scored 23 runs in three matches and has faced 24 deliveries. His strike rate is just 95.83, and his RPI is 7.67. He is sure to result in negative points for those who pick him.
