The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) senior national selection committee unveiled India's 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup, slated for 2023. The announcement came late on Saturday night.

The squad's composition had been shrouded in uncertainty as concerns about KL Rahul's fitness loomed large. The National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru was tasked with providing a crucial health update on the talented batsman. This development prompted the BCCI selection panel, led by the esteemed Ajit Agarkar, to delay the squad announcement until September 5.

Notably, Ishan Kishan, who made a significant impact with his performances in the middle order, also secured his place in the squad.

The pace trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj will spearhead India's bowling attack. Adding a spin dimension to the squad is Kuldeep Yadav.
