India, Pakistan & Australia Tri-Series On The Cards? CA Provides Massive Hint

India & Pakistan have not played a bilateral series since 2012-13 because of political tensions among the two nations. The only times these two teams lock horns are during ICC events.

Recently, India and Pakistan squared off at the T20 World Cup 2024, where the Men in Blue beat the Babar Azam-led side by 6 runs. In the latest events, Cricket Australia's chief Nick Hockley has expressed his interest in hosting India & Pakistan for a tri-series. 


"Pakistan and India are traditional rival teams; there is a lot of excitement for their matches. We are ready to support both teams for a bilateral and a tri-series. We would be happy to play a role in the revival of the Pakistan-India bilateral series," Stated Nick Hockley.

Pakistan and India garnered great viewership when they faced each other during the 2022 T20 World Cup, where Virat Kohli's heroics sealed the win for India. 

“Given the schedules, we haven’t had formal discussions in that regard, but we have said it on the record that we will be happy to host the India vs Pakistan bilateral series,” said Hockley.

Pakistan cricket have hit an all-time low as they faced an early exit in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, Australia too crashed out of the tournament in the super 8 round.
