On Wednesday, July 3, ICC updated their weekly rankings chart, and Indian players received a major boost as they beat South Africa in the T20 World Cup finals to win the title for the 2nd time in their history.
India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya stole the limelight as the 30-year-old became the new No.1 ranked all-rounder in ICC rankings. Pandya, who took three wickets in the final and bowled the crucial final over, jumped two spots in the ranking to now be placed first on the charts alongside Wanindu Hasaranga.

Notably, Pandya has 222 rating points same as Hasaranga. The fans took to social media platforms to celebrate Pandya's success. They also highlight how the all-rounder stayed positive in tough times, as he was under heavy criticism two months ago for replacing Rohit Sharma as India skipper.
Then, there were also reports of a rift in his marriage with Natasa Stankovic. However, Hardik bounced back strongly and won India the title.
