Ravindra Jadeja has claimes that India will not be underestimating the abilities of Hong Kong when they will face them on Wednesday (August 31) in the Asia Cup 2022.

The Men in Blue will be coming into this game after securing a victory in the nerve-wracking encounter against their arch-rival Pakistan. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya and Jadeja were the key players, who guided India to start the campaign on a positive note.

On the other hand, Hong Kong will be upbeat as well after making an entry into the biennial tournament with wins in all three league matches of the Asia Cup Qualifiers.

Ahead of the clash, Jadeja thinks Team India will give their best shot to win the game due to the fickle nature of the shortest format.

“We are going to play against Hong Kong with a positive mindset and we will not take them lightly. On a given day, anything can happen in T20Is. We will give our best and play positively,” said Jadeja in a press conference."

Jadeja opens up on his promotion in IND vs PAK game

The 33-year-old revealed his promotion to the number four spot ahead of Surya Kumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya was due to the presence of spinners like Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan in the Pakistan team.

“Sometimes, left-arm spinners and leg spinners are bowling, so sending left-handed batters is easy and they can take chances. That is why I was promoted. "

Jadeja felt relieved after contributing a useful 35 and stitching a 52-run stand with Hardik Pandya to help India in prevailing over Pakistan.
