In a remarkable turn of events, experienced Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman has completed 200 scalps in T20 cricket. He achieved this feat by dismissing Anamul Haque in his second over in the ongoing clash against Bangladesh. Notably, Mujeeb is the second youngest to achieve this milestone, with the first being spin maestro Rashid Khan.

Opening the bowling alongside Fazalhaq Farooqi in the Asia Cup encounter against Bangladesh, Mujeeb rattled the Tigers' top order, removing both openers, Naim Sheikh and Anamul Haque in two consecutive overs. While Naim was cleaned up for just six runs, Anamul was trapped plumb in front of the stumps for five runs. He went one step further and dismissed experienced Shakib Al Hasan, leaving Bangladesh shell-shocked.

Since debuting in the shortest format in 2018, Mujeeb has established himself as a potent weapon across all three phases of the game. The finger spinner has represented Afghanistan in 83 international matches, picking 122 wickets.

As of writing, Bangladesh are reeling at 30 for four in 6.4 overs.
