 India Becomes The Only Team To Be In Top 3 In The ICC Rankings Across Formats

It's Wednesday, and cricket fans know the importance of Wednesdays as ICC updates their rankings every Wednesday. So, the International Cricket Council have updated the rankings, and it turns out that Team India is the only team to be in the top three in the team rankings of every format. 

Team India under Rohit Sharma has performed admirably well. Whether it's the shortest format or the longest, they have shown consistency across all formats. Even now in the Asia Cup 2023 as well, they are unbeaten since the start of the tournament and have played four games. 

Heading into the World Cup 2023, this consistency will help the team in enhancing their focus and match practice. After the Asia Cup 2023, team India will be playing a three-match ODI series against Australia just before the World Cup 2023. Playing a strong team like Australia will give enough confidence to the team which will eventually help them in the World Cup. 

Rankings of the Indian Team:

Despite not having success in the last two T20 World Cups, India is ranked 1st in the current ICC T20I Rankings. Recently, India lost a T20I series against the Caribbeans but they have still managed to keep the top spot in the rankings. 

When it comes to the longest format, India have been the most consistent side in the last five years. From winning the Border Gavaskar Trophy twice in Australia to winning Tests in England, India have been amazing. They have also made it to the World Test Championship Final both times. So no wonder why India is ranked one in the Tests. 

India is ranked three in the ODI teams rankings. They lost an ODI series against Bangladesh in December, but they look good now considering their Asia Cup performance. With this India becomes the only team to be in the top three across all formats.
