ICC Rankings | Shakib Al Hasan and Kemar Roach jump spots after sublime performances

Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan and West Indies' Kemar Roach climbed up the ladder in the ICC Test Rankings after their impressive showing in the first Test between the two countries in Antigua last week.

Bangladesh skipper Hasan gained 14 positions and is now sitting at number 32 in the Test rankings for batters, scoring 51 and 63 in the first match of the 2-Test series.

The former number one all-rounder in the Test is now behind India's Ravindra Jadeja in the Test rankings for all-rounders, moving into the second spot.

Roach claimed seven wickets across his outing, which included a five-wicket haul in the second innings of the match, which the hosts won by seven wickets.

Roach, who is making a comeback after an injury, entered the top 10 rankings for Test bowlers, jumping from the 12th spot.

His career-best came back in December 2014, when he held the seventh position. Kyle Mayers and Alzarri Joseph also moved up to 40th and 48th positions for bowlers, respectively.

Other batters who gained from the Test were Kraigg Brathwaite(28th), Jermaine Blackwood (33rd), and John Campbell(48th).

The second Test of the series will be played on June 24 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia.

Joe Root, Marnus Labuschagne, and Steve Smith round off an impenetrable top 3 in batting rankings.

Pat Cummins, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah are still amongst the top-ranked bowlers in the standings.

In the ICC Men's ODI Rankings for batters, Australia's David Warner claimed the ninth spot after scoring 99 in the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka. Charith Asalanka scored his maiden ODI ton at Colombo last evening and moved up 19 places to occupy the 32nd position.

Jason Roy, Dhananjaya de Silva, and Mitchell Marsh also jumped places in the latest rankings. Babar Azam continues to occupy the top spot, followed by countryman Imam-ul-Haq and India's Virat Kohli, completing the top 3.

India's Ishan Kishan shares the sixth position alongside New Zealand's Devon Conway with 703 points in the ICC Men's T20I Rankings for batters. Dinesh Karthik, who made a remarkable comeback in the Indian T20I side, boosted himself to 87th position after scoring a match-winning 55 against South Africa in Rajkot.

Azam dominates the T20 charts as well, being closely followed by Mohammad Rizwan and South Africa's Aiden Markram.

Markram, who missed the recent T20I series against India, maintains his number three place.
