With tensions soaring high between India and Pakistan, the Asia Cup and World Cup are in danger as both sides have been at loggerheads for quite a while. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have refused to accept the hybrid model presented by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which in turn has drawn some serious reactions.

The PCB has gone on to the extent of saying that they would back out of the upcoming World Cup 2023 in India if their hybrid model is not accepted by the boards.

Now, to calm the matters and settle of the situation, International Cricket Council's (ICC) Chairman Greg Barclay and Chief Executive Geoff Allardice will visit the country for a two-day trip.

“This will be the first time since October 2004 when both the top two ICC officials will together visit the Pakistan cricket headquarters."

PCB Management Committee Chair Najam Sethi, PCB Chief Operating Officer Barrister Salman Naseer would be present from the board alongside other officials.

All this comes after, BCCI have invited the heads of cricket boards from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to discuss the future of the Asia Cup during the IPL.
