USA and West Indies are all set to jointly host the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 early next year. After speculations of moving the T20 World Cup to another venue were put to rest, the governing body announced three cities in the USA where the World Cup matches will be played.

Dallas, Florida, and New York have been confirmed as the three major USA cities that will hold the blockbuster World Cup matches. Grand Prairie in Dallas, Broward County in Florida, and Nassau County in New York have been shortlisted as venues to host the World Cup games.

In an interaction with the ICC Chief Executive, Geoff Allardice expressed that it is exciting for the US to hold the World Cup event and eagerly looks forward to kicking off this marquee event.

“We’re delighted to announce the three USA venues that will host part of the biggest ICC Men’s T20 World Cup ever staged, with 20 teams competing for the trophy. The USA is a strategically important market and these venues give us an excellent opportunity to make a statement in the world’s biggest sports market.”

He further added that the modular stadium technology will be in place, which is aimed at increasing the seating capacity and media hospitality areas, thus encouraging a wider participation from the fans.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to use modular stadium technology to present world-class cricket in a location that has not previously hosted an ICC global event giving USA cricket fans the chance to watch the world’s best on their doorstep."

This will be a historic moment for USA Cricket, who are desperately eager to make their presence felt globally. The earlier T20 World Cup edition was hosted by Australia, where England emerged as the winners, beating Pakistan by five wickets in the final.
