The Australians will start their India tour in Mohali on the 22nd of September. The Aussies are currently the top ranked team in ODI’s and have had a great season in ODI’s. The last ODI series versus India ended up being a great one for Australia as they won the series by 2-1 beating India at home. Australia has another chance to do the same against a much more confident Indian side who have won their 8th Asia Cup trophy. 

These 3 ODI’s and 5 T20I’s will show what both the sides have in store for us in the upcoming World Cup. The Australians will be happy to see some big names back into the side just before the World Cup as well. This will give them a lot of confidence going into this series. Despite having a terrible series against South Africa, Marsh has still proven himself to be a vital asset for Australia. He is a player that can change the game in crucial moments. His numbers in ODI’s have improved in the last few seasons with 2131 runs at an average of 33.83 and strike rate of 93.46. This indicates that he has the ability to bat at any position and score crucial runs. His bowling though underutilised can be handy as well and can make big breakthroughs if needed.

Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins is someone who has been making history in cricket recently. The 30 yr old pacer still has great numbers in ODI’s and will be looking forward to his comeback. It will also be interesting to see how he fairs as a leader in ODI’s after gaining success in Test matches. With 124 wickets in 75 ODI’s and averaging 27.61 he can still cause the same damage in this series as well.
