The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the entire line-up of warm-up fixtures for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA. Team India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, will only play one warm-up match at a yet-to-be-decided venue against Bangladesh on June 1.

The match between India and Bangladesh will also mark a conclusion to the warm-up set of fixtures, considering the T20 World Cup 2024 is slated to commence on the same day with a Group A match between Canada and tournament co-hosts USA.

On May 16, i.e., a couple of weeks prior to the launch of the 2024 T20 World Cup, the ICC unveiled the entire list of warm-up fixtures for the tournament. The first of the 16 practice games will be hosted by the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas with a match between Canada and Nepal on May 27.

Test playing nations like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Australia will commence their warm-ups the following day by facing Netherlands, United States and Namibia respectively.

A total of 17 teams out of the competing 20 will be playing at least one warm-up. Interestingly, South Africa’s lone warm-up fixture features an intra-squad match on May 29 in Florida.

The practice cycle will conclude on June 1 through India’s unofficial T20 match against Bangladesh. Here is a look at the entire list of 2024 T20 World Cup warm-up games as unveiled by the ICC:

The T20 World Cup 2024 itself will launch on June 1 with a match between United States and Canada in Texas. Roughly a week later on May 9, the Nassau County International Stadium will host the much-awaited blockbuster tie between perennial arch-rivals India and Pakistan.
