Henry Shipley new inclusion as New Zealand announces squads for India & Pakistan ODI series

In what is coming as two crucial series for the BlackCaps against Pakistan and India, they have announced the squad with some big names.

The New Zealand side will be led by regular white-ball skipper Kane Williamson for the Pakistan series whereas, for the India series, Tom Latham has been handed over the duties as the former along with Tim Southee have been rested.

All-rounder Henry Shipley has been drafted into the squad for the very first time which will see him visit both countries during January.

Coaches Gary Stead and Shane Jurgensen will also return home along with the duo to focus on forthcoming Test series against England after which Luke Ronchi will head the side.

What New Zealand selector Gavin Larsen said about Shipley

“Henry’s an exciting talent who we’ve had our eye on for a while. He’s taken his game to another level in the past 12 months, and we’re delighted to see his progression given how valuable genuine all-rounders are in any cricket team.”
