Pakistan in control in the first half

England started Day 2 on 7/1 and were in a spot of bother. However, Ben Duckett added 51 runs in the first session, before departing for 26 off Nauman Ali. The left-arm spinner dismissed Joe Root (0) in the following ball to stun the visitors.

Afterwards, skipper Ben Stokes played positively to score a 33-ball 26. Unfortunately, he was run out owing to confusion with Harry Brook, which reduced England to 145/5.
