Gabba's bowling paradise wakes up Twitterati as first Test ends inside 2 days

It turned out to be heaven for the pacers at the Gabba, Brisbane as the match could not even reach the day 3 and ended with whooping 34 wickets falling to hand Australia a victory by 6 wickets. The match that was played on a green track saw batters having a tough time in front of two fiery pace bowling attacks.

As the match ended their were a variety of reactions on social media with some banter and insights about this ever-green. Some ranted while some were in favour of these kind of pitches. Let's have a look at a few of them.

Gut feeling is that the Gabba pitch will get a below average rating. Will be interesting to see after that. Not sure how safe it would have been if it had somehow gone to a third day but that was astonishing. #AUSvSA

I'll be pleased not to be up at 2am tomorrow but this is comfortably the worst Test I've covered. There's going to be a lot said about the pitch - and yes, it's unfortunate that SA have to bat on surfaces like this a lot - but more should be said about the batting. #AUSvSA

#AUSvSA ends inside 2 days, Australia see-through thanks to Head standing out as the batter who took the game on. No questions on pitch, only on batting skills, as it is elsewhere too. :)
