However, the South African cricketer announced retirement from international cricket at the the age of 33. His decision while being at the top of his game has shocked the fans and supporters around the world.

Notably, Heinrich Klaasen has been translated his international form to IPL, too. In 49 matches that he has played in the league, Klaasen has scored 1,480 runs at an average of 40 and a strike rate of 169.72. Klaasen also has nine fifty plus scores in the league with two centuries.

Klaasen's Stint With RCB
Notably, during the IPL 2019 auction RCB bought the South African batter for ₹50 Lacs. During his time in the franchise, Klaasen played only four matches. In these four games, Klaasen scored 57 runs at an average of 19 with a strike rate of 121.27.
Given the standards he has set for himself and what was demanded of him the numbers were below average and hence the franchise decided to part ways with him the next season.
Heinrich Klaasen's IPL 2025 Record
In IPL 2025, Heinrich Klaasen played for SRH as their first retained player. The franchise paid ₹23 Cr to secure his services. Even though the franchise did not perform well, Klaasen played some good hands, especially his knock in the final game against KKR of 105* from 39 deliveries was a pure display of his destructive hitting.
