Why Klaasen announced his retirement?
Klaasen announced his retirement on Instagram via a social media post and he stressed the importance of spending time with his family and this was an important reason for his retirement.
"It is a sad day for me as I announce that I have decided to step away from international cricket. It took me a long time to decide what's best for me and my family for the future. It was truly a very difficult decision but also one that I have absolute peace with.
Another reason is that players from South Africa tend to prefer franchise cricket over international cricket. South African players don't get as much pay as players from other nations, whereas playing in franchise cricket gives them big bucks. Klaasen is a big name in T20 cricket and any franchise would love to have him in the team.
