According to the emerging reports, Pakistan are expected to make two major changes to their playing XI for the upcoming encounter against India. Ace batter Hasan Nawaz could be one of the high-profile names to warm the bench in the high-voltage contest.

Pakistan Likely To Drop Hasan Nawaz and Khushdil Shah Vs India

Led by Agha Salman, Pakistan had a topsy-turvy campaign in the group-stage of the Asia Cup 2025. While the Men in Green secured convincing victories over Oman and the UAE, they were outclassed by their arch-rivals, India. So, this game gives Pakistan a golden opportunity to avenge their loss and grab crucial points to kickstart the Super Four stage.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's leading media agency Geo Super has claimed that Agha Salman-led side will make two changes to their playing XI against UAE. While Hasan Nawaz is expected to make room for Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah might be replaced by Faheem Ashraf in the lower middle order.

Pakistan's Strategic Shift Against India Revealed

The report claims that the Pakistani think tank, led by Agha Salman and Mike Hesson, have decided to pick a pace-heavy attack to counter their Indian opponents. Pakistan kept three spin-bowling options in their playing XI in the early stage of the tournament; however, now it seems like the Men in Green will persist with both Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf while picking Abrar Ahmed as their frontline spinner. This means left-arm wrist-spinner Sufiyan Muqeem might be left out of the playing XI tonight.
