There has been some tension between Harsha Bhogle and the Press Trust of India, with the cricket commentator voicing his concerns over a video posted by them. The video reportedly features Harsha discussing Virat Kohli and his performances in T20 cricket.

What is the context that PTI has got Harsha Bhogle concerned about?

In one of the events at the SHRM India Talent Leadership Summit & Expo 2024 in Mumbai, Harsha Bhogle was heard expressing the opinion that players of caliber like Virat Kohli must be willing to sacrifice their wicket in the interest of the team.

According to Bhogle, such players should prioritize the team's success over their individual status at the international level. He emphasized that if a player is capable of scoring quick 20 runs off six balls, they should be prepared to take the risk and give the team a fighting chance, even if it means getting out in the process.

Expressing his discontent over a tweet by the Press Trust of India, Harsha Bhogle urged the organization to share the entire clip rather than resorting to clickbait tactics with cropped videos.

"This is an example of what I was talking about with social media. The video is cropped just before the point where I say that Virat is capable of playing across situations but that I was only highlighting how even the greatest players have to keep adjusting demands and priorities. Come on @PTI_News I am sure you can do better. With selectively edited reporting, nobody will be able to articulate thoughts again. Can you put out the whole clip please?", Bhogle wrote on X.

In the unedited video, Harsha Bhogle was seen praising Virat Kohli as a player who possesses the ability to adapt to various situations and bat accordingly. Despite this clarification on X (formerly Twitter), fans remain divided over Harsha Bhogle's skepticism regarding Virat Kohli.
